The Earth Polo | Ralph Lauren

Introducing The Earth Polo. Designed with mother nature in mind, the timeless Ralph Lauren classic has just received a sustainable upgrade, becoming the first-ever Polo shirt crafted from recycled plastic bottles.

This is latest chapter in Ralph Lauren’s ongoing commitment to protecting the environment. Through this new collection, the brand has committed to saving 170 million plastic bottles from polluting our planet by 2025, preventing them from reaching the world’s landfills and oceans.

Plastic waste is a major issue threatening the environment - we want to be part of the solution and utilise an innovative approach to create something valuable
— David Lauren, Chief Innovative Officer.

The shirt is two years in the making, and began with a deceptively simple concept: Remake the iconic Polo shirt with as little environmental impact as possible, while preserving the quality and feel that made it an icon in the first place. The Polo’s innovative fabric is produced entirely from plastic bottles collected by local communities in the developing world, and dyed using a completely waterless process.

This shirt's innovative fabric was produced entirely from plastic bottles collected by local communities in the developing world, and dyed using a completely waterless process. For every Earth Polo Shirt sold, approximately 12 fewer bottles end up in landfills or the world's oceans.

The collection comes in 4 colours, the same four colours you see when looking at the planet from space and retails for £95: Stuart Green, White, Baby Blue and Navy Blue.
